We are sad to announce the passing of Bob, a beloved partner, brother, family member and dear friend of many, on February 23, 2026, in Victoria, BC.Bob was proud of being a Boy Scout, and carried those skills into later life by demonstrating a love for outdoor adventures and skill development in nature, fishing and woodworking. He loved to read, and was always eager to share his extensive knowledge with others. He was a warm-hearted, caring person who had a passion for guitar, banjo, and all things musical.Bob was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario and worked for a time in Alberta. He finally settled in the coastal community of Sooke, BC, where he met his treasured partner-in-life, Teresa Richards. Over the years, Bob maintained close ties with his brother, and his friends. His loss will be deeply felt by all family and friends too numerous to mention. and who have followed his illness over the past few months. Terry has greatly appreciated the outpouring of love and support arising from family and friends.Bob is pre-deceased by his mother and father, Keith and Sandra Loyst. In addition to Terry, he leaves behind his only sibling, Steve Loyst (Carrie), his nephew, Keith, and his Aunt Peggy Loyst.
