Nathan Oliver Thomas Goldsmith

August 6, 1992 — August 30, 2025

It is with unimaginable pain and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Nathan Goldsmith, who left us far too soon on August 30, 2025, at the age of 33. Nathan’s absence leaves an ache beyond words, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

From the time he was a toddler—with his chubby thighs, bright smile, and contagious giggles—Nathan brought so much joy into our worlds. As a child, he loved family camping trips, swimming, soccer, BMX riding, and scouting. In his early teens, he discovered mountain biking, and from that moment forward, it became his greatest passion. Known for his fearless approach and unwavering dedication to pushing his own limits, to achieve what he knew was possible. Nathan was never happier than when riding, where he seemed to soar. He may never have flown a plane, but he could certainly fly a bicycle. His love for biking was more than a sport—it was freedom, connection to nature, and pure joy.

Nathan also cherished time spent camping in Port Renfrew, Gordon Bay, Rathtrevor, and Whistler, especially during Crankworx, where he was truly in his element. Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Nathan will be remembered as a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was a kind and sensitive man, with a heart as big as his smile, and a laughter that will echo in our memories always.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Lynn and Tom; his sisters, Nicole and Jordan (Ben); his grandfather, Red; his nephew, Parker; his niece, Presley; his brother-in-law, Chris; his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry his spirit with them forever.

A celebration of Nathan’s life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion, Prince Edward Branch #91 located at 761 Station Avenue, where we will come together to honor his remarkable spirit and the joy he brought to so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Nathan’s memory to causes supporting mental health or addiction services.

Rest in peace, Nathan. You will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
