It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manfred Landgraf on Nov 2, 2024. Manfred passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Victoria Hospice.
Manfred and his family arrived in Canada from Germany in 1969. In 1995, they moved to Victoria, BC which Manfred proudly called his home and “God’s Country”. He retired as a successful chef, baker and master sausage maker. He was known for his German style sausages throughout Vancouver Island, most notably at his sausage concession at Marigold Nurseries.
Manfred is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Doris; children, Silke (Michael), Mike, and Matthew (Jolyne); grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Gabrielle, Christiaan, and Jordan.
Manfred was predeceased by his Father (Hermann), Mother (Lilli), and brother (Hans-Jurgen).
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at later date.
A special thank you to the staff at Island Health and Victoria Hospice for their kindness, support and care shown to Manfred in his final days.
Manfred spent his life feeding people so the family asks that any memorial donations are made to a local food bank in Manfred’s name.
