Kenneth Smith

Kenneth Richard Smith age 69 died unexpectedly on January 5, 2026 in Sooke BC.

Ken is survived by his brother‘s Vincent, Robert, Benjamin, Douglas, Leslie, Ronald, Roy, and Lorne and by his sister Annette. Pre-deceased by his brothers Jeffrey(and twin)and David along with sisters Betty Jane and Linda.

Born in Chilliwack BC to mother Lucy Anne Smith and father Luke White, Ken would soon find his calling as a chef and eventually end up as a support worker on Vancouver Island. From Tonto Rosette to Hope Centre and eventually Charters, Ken dedicated 25 years wholeheartedly to the tenants he served.

Ken will always be remembered as this serene, composed, tranquil person he was. But he wasn’t shy, rather self possessed, and chose his word deliberately. He chose carefully who he would open up to and share his stories with. Ken will be greatly missed by his family and equally by the lives he changed at M’akola.
