John “Jerry” Gerald McCambridge

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Gerald McCambridge, lovingly known to all as Jerry, who left this world on December 17, 2025.

Jerry was a man of quiet strength, deep loyalty, and unwavering love for those closest to him. Through shared stories, gentle humor, and simply being there when it mattered most, Jerry had a way of making people feel safe, valued, and loved.

Jerry proudly served his country with the Royal Canadian Navy, including service in Vietnam. In recognition of his dedication and sacrifice, he was awarded the Special Service Medal with Peace Bar and the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal. He carried his service with modesty and honor, never seeking praise, yet earning the lifelong respect of those who understood what it truly meant to serve.

Above all else, Jerry was a devoted and loving husband to the love of his life, Patricia. Their bond was built on commitment, care, and shared life experiences, a partnership that endured through every season of life. Though Patricia predeceased him, their love remained a guiding presence in his heart.

Jerry was also a brother, uncle, step-father, step-grandfather, roles he embraced with patience, pride, and a quiet sense of responsibility. Family was central to who he was, and he showed his love not in grand gestures, but in his constant support and steadfast presence.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia, his parents, two brothers, and one step-grandson, all of whom he held close in memory.

Jerry is survived by his three sisters, one brother, along with all of their children, his two step-children and three step-grandchildren, who will carry his legacy forward through stories, lessons learned, and love passed down.

Whether family or friend, anyone who knew Jerry knew a man who could be counted on. He was deeply loved, and his passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the service he gave so selflessly.
