Janice Susan Benson (Tregear)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Janice Susan Benson (Tregear) on June 20th 2026. Janice was born May 8th 1959 in Victoria, where she lived her life. Her travels took her throughout Europe in the 70's with her choir. To New York on a spiritual journey to meet her Guru, Sri Shinmoy. To New Zealand to spend time with her family. Janice was curious about spirituality and explored Dharmic and Christian religion. She loved books, music, walking, and socializing. Later in life, being at home reading. During Janice's life she was a Daughter, Granddaughter, Big sister, Niece, Cousin, Wife, Auntie, Step Daughter and Step Sister. She had deep love for all her family and friends, a very kind heart and great strength. She will be quietly remembered by those who knew her. Donations to the BC Schizophrenia Society (bcss.org) are greatly appreciated.
