GEORGE ARMAND PRIMROSE
OCTOBER 18, 1933 - MAY 22,2024
Dad was born in Kenora Ontario but was raised in Minaki Ontario. He was predeceased by his father Hiram, mother Adelle (nee Lavergne) and wife Patricia (Patty). Left to mourn his passing are his three sons Jerry, George, Harley and daughter Melody. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael, Trevor (Dawn), Shawna (Jeff), Ryan (Melissa), George Jr. (Sara) Harley Jr. and Joshua. His great grandchildren Ella-blue, Dominic, Jaxon, Ari, Cody Savannah, Jayden and baby Madilyn. He also leaves behind his first wife Emerise as well as his neighbour, and good friend Anne who helped him out immensely.
He led a very interesting life and was quite the character. He worked alongside his father Hiram as a trapper and sold the pelts to the Hudson Bay Company in Minaki where they received chits to purchase groceries and necessities. He was also a fishing guide for the tourists who wanted to catch the BIG fish.
He started a minnow, bait and tackle shop in order to supply the tourists with fresh bait. He eventually sold the business and became a bus driver. First as a school bus driver, and then driving town buses. He moved out to British Columbia looking for better opportunities with his family soon to follow. He started driving chartered bus trips to Reno, Nevada.
He eventually bought a commercial fishing boat and fished for crab, herring and prawns which he sold to restaurants.
He was most happy when he was out in nature, either out on the water or in the bush.
Anybody who knew him heard all the stories. “He had a big heart, trusted people and if asked for help, would do so as best he could."
Rest in peace Dad, you will be missed.
