Gary Lang

Gary Lang lived his life with purpose and determination and made his exit, on his own terms, in the presence of his immediate family on October, 24, 2025.

Gary was born in Sidney, Vancouver Island in January 1944. He was raised in Chilliwack, BC before venturing abroad to study at the University of Bristol, England, where he met Gillian. Gillian and Gary were married in 1968 in Chilliwack and raised their daughters, Jennifer and Vanessa in White Rock, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. 

Gary moved to Victoria in the early 2000's to a Fernwood heritage home. Throughout his life, his passions included antiques, furniture, heritage homes (restoration and maintenance), and unique, classic cars. And he could never resist a 'good deal'.

Gary was generous, kind, tenacious (aka stubborn), had a strong sense of justice, and loved a good practical joke.

A "Celebration of Shenanigans" is planned for the afternoon of Saturday, April 4th in Victoria, BC. For more information, please contact the family directly.
